WANT TO BUY A KODACHI PUPPY?
Shikokus are primitive and can be game driven, reactive and active breed.
Before going forward with the idea of getting a puppy I recommend to evaluate if you have the necessary qualities and resources to offer a home to a shikoku for it's entire life.
- Have you done research of the breed?
(Breed traits, history, health, breed standart etc. ?)
- Do you have resources to offer caring, loving and safe home for its entire life?
(Quality food, medical care, time for activies & excercise etc. ?)
- Do you have time to socialise, train and guide the dog its entire life?
Training, socialising and guidence are not tasks for just for the first year. They are commitements for the entire life of the dog!
- Are you persistent, consistent and have a sense of humour?
These are traits that are mandatory when raising a shikoku!
Kodachi - puppies
Kodachi-puppies are rare of its kind and a lot of research and planning has been done to get to this point.
Im always happy to hear about their adventures!
Puppies are released:
Microchipped and dewormed multiple times
Vaccinated according to age and possible export regulations
Health checked by a Veterinarian
Registered in Finnish kennel club (FCI)
With European pet passport
Earliest 8 weeks old
Socialised to people and normal home living
Puppies are sold with:
Written contract
Written care and feeding instructions
Puppy package (incl. food and suplies )
Breeders guidance and support
My wish for the future homes is that they would officially check their puppies health when they are matured (approx. 2 years old/ hips, elbows, knees, eyes). The more health information we get from this breed the easier it is to breed healthier shikokus!
